The Neuschwanstein Castle is located in Germany, more precisely in the region of Bavaria. It is located in the middle of a quite old city that incorporates several monasteries and citadels. Very close there is a Roman road known as Via Claudia. The castle was built by order of Louis II, “the mad king”, in the year of 1866. This spectacular construction is surrounded by the beautiful mountains of the Alps and by hundreds of waterfalls and lagoons. It was not built for defense, but as the realization of a romantic dream of the king.
